2016 September 11th Memorial Stair Climb
September 11th is a day of remembrance. We all have our various ways of remembering the heroic actions that took place that day by both first responders and civilians alike. We also remember those who were lost in the days following, and those who continue to fight with illnesses caused by the attacks. On Sunday September 11, 2016 at 0800 hours students from Oklahoma State participated in a ceremonial 110 story stair climb in Kerr Hall. This tradition was started by firefighters in Denver, Colorado by firefighters who wanted to pay tribute to the nearly 3000 citizens who perished that day. Today we take moments out of our days to remember not only those were lost on September 11th, but also those who are fighting against September 11th related illnesses such as cancer and PTSD. We would like to thank those who participated, planned, and helped execute today’s event. Never Forget.
